Chapter 24 goes live at midnight PDT

Smoke em if you got em. Oh yeah, you know it, baby. Dan, if you're reading, you may want to skip the chapter, though if you do you'll miss the introduction of three new characters. WinkWink Minor characters for now, but they'll be recurring.

Remember that comments iz love and so are donations. And so is fan art! I'd really like to see some fan art. I may start drawing some myself. I am a little handy with a pencil, not enough that I'd turn this into a comic, but enough that I could give you general ideas what the characters look like in my head.

Chapter 25 is somewhat under way. Barring surprises from my cantankerous characters, Emmae and Warin's story will be back in 25.

You may also note that there's an Amazon box now in the lower left. If you are a regular Amazon buyer, please buy through my links. Even if you don't buy what's linked, I get a credit as long as you got to Amazon though my link. One more way to support IHGK and keep the hubby happy! Smile

Ok, so if that's not Pacific Standard Time, I apologize...but if it is, the chapter is late ^^; I am thoroughly determined to help you iron out whatever scheduler problem is keeping these chapters from me!

that I can't give my address at Amazon for good reasons. This is my pen name, and while it's not at all blackmail-able, I try to keep my real identity separate from my writing identity if only to give my mother plausible denial. Otherwise I honestly don't care who knows who I am or where I am. I am armed, after all, and don't give a fig for the bad 'uns.

Sadly, I do not own a copy of nor have I read Good Omens. I unwisely gave my copy of American Gods to a friend, and I've never read Neverwhere. And yet I am a Gaiman fiend. Comes of being a poor perfume-addicted Gaiman fiend with more writing to do than reading, I suppose.

You may blame Mr Gaiman for the perfume thing, too; it was his description of the BPAL scent "Snow, Glass, Apples" (which isn't in general release and which I still haven't smelled) as making one smell like a "sexy vampire apple" that finally made me give in. Other online friends have extolled BPAL before, but it was Mr G that made me take the plunge into insanity. And I do mean insanity.

But I promise on my honor as a professional daydreamer that were you to send $7.99 it would immediately be spent on a copy of Good Omens or whatever else it was earmarked for. Thanks for even thinking about it. Smile

TGC beat me to the punch. I noticed the wish list and noticed Good Omens on it, and had the same thought and feelings (shocked, saddened, inspired to change). However, I have a husband that I had to clear the 7.99 donation with (which, sadly, he turned down... for good reason. I have 2 cars that are quite close to scrapping if I don't get them fixed soon. Every little bit helps). Meilin, you will LOVE Good Omens. The combo of Gaiman and Pratchett is.... well, it's impossible to describe/understand until you've read it. Just think of me when you get to the Tibetans and the Aliens. My favorite part. Smile

"Good Omens" is on its way.

And firesprite: I totally understand. You can still help by doing some of the marketing challenges, which don't cost a dime. Doesn't get me a book directly, but does push this site closer to critical mass, at which point I can buy me own books, eh?

... and you have books on that list you should not be without as a Gaiman fan. I'm gonna make sure we keep getting saturday stories and you stay knee deep in reading matterial. *insert crazy laughter here*

I just updated my wish list to include my address; Amazon doesn't reveal it, it turns out, except my city. Just so, y'know, you can be sure it don't get spent on perfoom, or decaf latte, or turnips and sackcloth...

When it comes to perfoom, turnips and sackcloth, I'm completely untrustworthy.

well seeing as i have a tax refund check coming to me...AND as a complete and utter bibliophile...oh who am i trying to kid i've got donations planned out for as long as i can keep them up. Perfoom and Turnips will abound. ....and i see the donations have reset. lets get the ball rolling then. Some latte money and Stardust for my opening gambit. I'm reading it to my little brother now (He's 12 and just as into books as I am) and its just as good as I remember.

you were serious! dude! Thank you! They say an artist needs 1000 True Fans to make a living outside the system (book deal/record contract/what have you), and I think you've just qualified as True Fan #1. Thank you so much! Smile

So i have my donation and gift schedual pretty maped out just a quick question about a couple of books by gaiman not on your wishlist. Specificaly Smoke and mirrors, Fragile Things, InterWorld, Anansi Boys, and Coraline. was wondering if you already have these works or are just further down the wishlist to come line. Cuz nothing says i cant send you something off your wishlist AND something i think you need to have. I'm sure you would hate me forever for sending you extra books. Blum 3

I have "Smoke and Mirrors," in fact I'm poking at it right now. I don't have the rest. My Gaiman fixation stems almost entirely from "American Gods" and "Sandman," all of which I have read though I only own one of the books and I gave "American Gods" to a friend, not realizing how much I would miss it if I did so. And I have the movie adaptation of "Stardust."

(Veering a bit off topic, I have a bottle of Mama-Ji perfume from BPAL (Gaiman-sanctioned, benefit for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund); it smells at first like dangerous sex in an Indian spice shop, and then morphs into this comforting, almost motherly scent. Very Mama-Ji. I tried Bilquis, but it's too bitter on me--also appropriate to the character. And I have several of the "Stardust" scents; Lady Una and Fairy Wine are two of my all-time faves.)

Hopefully freaking you out in the "how did i get such a diehard fan so fast?(because your an awsome writer)" kind of way and not a "Is this guy a deranged loonatic kind of way.". Not that i'm not a deranged loony, but I am a harmless one. also I completely understand how you can be hooked from just those two books. Started with Neverwhere myself when a friend was like, "Hey you like weird fantasy stuff right i picked this up with a bunch of stuff at a yard sale you want it?" spent the next day and a half reading then rereading it, then the next week combing through my local books-a-million for everything else he'd written at the time. I'm a bibliophile through and through. the only thing i love as much as reading is sharing great writing and writers with others. So if i can share great books with you AND help make sure i get stories on saturday well then i'm gonna make damn sure that fits in my budget.
