Winter's End

Kawaii time! I so loved the bonus story "Goose Fat" that I simply had to draw it. http://www.meilinmiranda.com/goose-fat
Actually I had this drawn for awhile but I also went to color it... and my art program crashed and won't work... even after uninstalling and reinstalling Sad
So here is the black and white version- hopefullly color version will follow.

It was Ellika with the little tip of her tongue sticking out in concentration that really did it. I just started sketching and here it is. I probably should have put it up sooner but I really did want to color it- but I thought you could use the pick-me-up. Smile
(Ohh how do you post the little side images/imbeded pics in the message?)

I think she means the pics that show up when you start a thread through your blog - like, whether there's a way for us to do something similar when we start an ordinary thread, since they show up in the same RSS feed and all. http://www.meilinmiranda.com/blog

Embodiment

Almost looks like a Ye Olde Days woodcut illustration - very nice. I liked the Whithorse hearth - clever Wink And Temmin's puffy little nose peeking out from back in the bedroom - eee! So cute!

Their expressions are perfect--especially Ellika's! And the fireplace! And the trees by the doorway! Can I have Temmin's room now that he's moved to the palace?

I look forward to seeing the colored version!

I kinda thought that Whithorse would have a pretty strong horsey-theme going on with their decorating. Look close at the fender and fire-grate, they're made with horse-shoes (inspired by my grandad's- he was a real cowboy, raised black Angus cattle and rode his horse every day of his life... including the last). Plus I see in my minds eye they've got a real Rohan/Celtic sort of feel to me.
