Something I never ever thought I'd see

Adventures in Self-Publishing

My book in a library, when I didn't arrange for it to be put there:

I'm floored. I know, just one book on one library shelf, but I'm an indie. That usually doesn't happen for us, especially if we don't push for it.

:D

That's just awesome.

Now I kinda want a hardcover. Hmm. Maybe when all the books are published, there could be a box-set of hardcovers? OOOH.

Very probably will happen

Netta's been after me with several ideas--boxed hardcover set being one, a deconstructed chronological version of the story being another. Start with Temmin the Great and go on through to the end.

Ooh

I would absolutely buy the chronological version.

And congrats on your librariness!

Thanks, guys

Turns out they have six copies. One is checked out. Smiling

We think we know what happened; I have a fan who works at the library. I'm getting in touch.

How it probably happened

Talked with my library fan. She said she had suggested the library buy the book, but she didn't know they'd actually done it. She used the form anyone on the system can use. So ask your libraries to buy the books! The ISBN is what you need:

Lovers and Beloveds ISBN 0981307175
Son in Sorrow ISBN 1926959213

Because now I'm obsessed

I checked the catalog today. Four copies are checked out, one is on hold! The fan at the library made the book a staff pick--in a special display with a sticky note that said "Forget 50 Shade--read some well-written erotica!" It worked. Smiling

That is a wonderful idea. I made the same suggestions here. See if they go... #thongsformei

Even though I'm not nearly so active around here as I used to be, you continue to be an inspiration, Mei =)
