Baby update!

So. The child is 6 1/2 months already. Already? Already! He is 15 pounds, 2 ounces and 26 1/4" long. Yes, he's short - but so are his parents. He's only now getting into the 3-6 month sized clothes! Smile When he wants attention, he starts saying "mamamamamamamamama".

If he wants out of whatever he's in (car seat, chair, swing) he puts his hand up (which we've been working on since early on) and says "mama mama". Proof:

He is rapidly becoming his own little person, with his own personality. He's also becoming a pro at the Army-crawl. See?

We're working on transitioning to solids. The poor child has parents who are terribly lazy about it. Me mostly because he makes this "WTH are you putting in my mouth, woman, and what am I supposed to do with it?", regardless of what we attempt. I stop feeding him when he does that because who wants to eat something that tastes yucky? Husband says he does it for everything just because it's new. Pudding, on the other hand, is the only thing he DOESN'T make that face for - and it's not something WE feed him. My father insists on feeding it to him whenever he sees him. Doc just rolls his eyes.

It's things like this that make me wish I had the time to babysit!

I swear children were not this cute when I was babysitting. I could sit here and watch this video over and over. And I probably will, if only to remind myself of how cute he can be when he's not super tired!

I'm afraid I only made one, and he happens to look EXACTLY like his father, so no substitutions are allowed. Biggrin

Thank you for the praise of my son. I happen to think he's the most adorable baby ever, but I'm slightly biased. Just slightly, though. Smile

and I've done a lot of babysitting. I've been exposed to kids so cute it's almost unbearable... (one kid was for the first five years a dead ringer for Mowgli from Disney jungle book) I can say with some authority and no natural bias that ...

that yes indeed he is a VERY cute kid.

thanks for sharing
