I love love love Internet collaboration. This last Christmas's YouTube collaboration "Reindeer" is still on my playlist. I was pointed to this today and had to share. It gives me chills. Ladies and gentlemen, Eric Whitacre and the 2,000-plus-strong Virtual Choir:

Oh, wow. This is so cool! I was expecting a simulation of 2000 people singing, but this is ACTUALLY 2000 people singing, and they're really good!

What's not so awesome is that while Germans are the fourth largest group in that choir, the video is not available from Youtube in Germany because the music industry, which had absolutely nothing to do with that song, is being both powerful and stupid to an insanely large degree around here.
