Fantasy Book Critic's Liviu Suciu has named "Lovers and Beloveds" one of the top six independent books of 2010! Thanks, Liviu!

If you're at all surprised. IHGK is amazing, Mei. Always has been.
Mostly just posting to poke my head back in and say hi. I'm still around, lurking. I wanna know what happens next, and I'm very patient. Glad you're still plugging along.

I'm more surprised to Slager back than the post results....

(I'd sure like Slagar to have more to say, too. Here and all 'round the site)

Thanks guys. I appreciate that, seriously.
Been busy as hell the last several months. Graduated college, got a job as a field biologist. The Vixen and I broke up, after about 3.5 years. Quit the aforementioned job and moved to Wisconsin to start a Master's. I'm still nerd-fighting, as always. I've started studying Italian rapier too, for variety. Dropped another 30 pounds, bringing my goal weight of 205 into close reach, now. Overall, life's been one hell of a ride, lately. Mostly upwards, not always, but definitely lots of changes. Glad to see something's still the same.

Sweet. Where in WI are ya?

Hope you're enthusiastic about the Masters. Hope that the ending with the Vixen is at least resolving acceptably--I know that it's never "easy." Glad you're doing well weight-wise.

I'm at UW in Stevens Point. Central Wisconsin, pretty much square middle of the state.
Yeah, it's good. Good terms, etc.
So, I've been lurking regularly enough to know that the paperback is available now. What's being posted regularly? It looks like it's the same story as last time, but unless my memory is worse than I thought, it's different in spots. Is this the final draft edited version, maybe?
Fri, 01/21/2011 - 10:16pm
The final book is available in paperback and ebook, and is being serialized here in its final version as well. The serialization will end in late October/early November of this year, and hopefully book two will be released at about the same time.
The book has some serious differences from the original: new characters introduced, old characters dropped/delayed/de-emphasized/newly emphasized, very different timeline, new challenges for Temmin, a much more fleshed out world. So don't think that if you read the draft you know what's going to happen, especially after book one ends.

Heh. Selling me on buying the book is a waste of typing energy, Mei. I'm thinking that may be my birthday present to myself (stupid student-induced poverty). Can't wait.
Glad to hear it's going well, Mei. Really awesome.
