I know we've got a couple of Canucks here somewhere, so I just wanted to wish you all a happy Canada Day. I've the day off, but I'm not doing a single patriotic thing with it. I'm such a model citizen.

I went to a Baroque concert where they played "Oh Canada." And I saw a fireworks show. That's it for patriotic gestures this year.

is Canadian, so every year (until this one, strangely enough) I would start the day by singing "O Canada" at the top of my lungs...and then I would annoy my kid by breaking into song at random times throughout the day. Well...day's not over yet, eh?
ETA: mission accomplished--the child has been annoyed and asked me almost politely to stop singing

Fireworks...
My local town (Killaloe) has a really good fireworks show that I have skipped the last couple years cause, you know, it's bed time! But this year I went early to see my friends perform a dance (poi and bellydancing) and ended up staying for the fireworks too, I'm glad I stayed, even with the tighter budgets the town still managed to put on an even better show than last time:)

I wish the weather had been a bit better yesterday, it was pouring rain here in Hamilton. My dad's band was playing in Burlington but the crowds were pretty small.
