LiveJournal Community
It has been discussed in another thread (coincidently started by yours truly) that some people might be interested in starting a LiveJournal community for Other People's Stories. The idea is that we would have a place to write our stories, read other stories by the community here, and critique all while keeping it away from the general public in order to preserve potential publishing rights.
I believe Raigne has offered to actually start the community, but it seems it needs a name. Post your name choice, or if you're even interested. Also, if you have a LiveJournal, feel free to link it here.
At the moment, Zandu Inkis nekkid, but I do have words on Phrankenstyne's Monster. PM is currently friends locked, so if you'd like access, just let me know.

I had thought of
Historians Anonymous, but it's not really about the History even if it's a common tie. I was trying to think of something to do with Nerr, since he's the patron of fiction, but there could be non-fiction posted and the best I could come up with was something like Nerr's Pen, or Nerr's Quill, which just sounds like an unsubtle euphemism.

I thought of that, too, but then it made me think of the "alternate history" genre (see: series by Naomi Novik and Eric Flint if you're unfamiliar with the term). I happen to enjoy that genre on occasion, but I don't know that we all want to be confused with it.

I'm a bit much tired at the moment and responded on the previous thread. A separate thread is actually much more useful. I'm willing to make the community, got enough time for it this weekend. As for names I'll repeat my stupid brainstorm:
Intimate Writers (or Writing Circle)
Tremontine Writers
They are quite lame, but will maybe put someone in the right direction
The Alternate Historians is Laurell K. Hamiltons writing group, so I think that's a no to that one. I do think history is good to use though. Maybe Tremontine Historians?

I vote for Tremontine Writers
I vote for Tremontine Writers simply because it is generic enough to cover anything while still referencing the History.
There is nothing wrong with unsubtle euphemisms. But ya, unless we are all planning to include elements of sex...we probably shouldn't use such a name for the group imo anyway.
That one has my vote as well.
For the same reason. There's nothing that it could imply or misrepresent to someone stumbling upon the community, but clearly indicates how this particular LJ community got started. Also gives us an excellent excuse to link back to here for advertising purposes. Not that we require an excuse, but it makes the link relevant.

No, you guys, go with subtext! or subtextual!
The title could be that...
but if it's not taken as an account name, I'll eat my underwear*. I think we'll be obligated to pick something else for the actual account name.
ETA: Subtextual isn't bad. It makes me want to start adding random suffixes to it for comical effect. Subtextable. Subtextoid. Subtextation. Subtextagogy.
And some of them actually sounded cool... Subtextacy, for example.

Changing what I said, because now I'm not understanding what was happening. It was only letting people put two votes maximum in each category? Cause now we have someone who voted for three and someone who voted for one.
