Amazon link - is the ad as good as the bookmarklet?

I ordered some flower bulbs via Amazon, after clicking the ad link lower on the page. I believe I glimpsed MLM in the url that took me over to Amazon. But, I forgot about adding the bookmarklet...so, does it matter? Is one better than the other? I ask because I just received a huge gift certificate for my bday and if every %-bit can go to MLM, that'd be ideal! Smile

By the way, since it's more or less on topic, does something like this also work on the German amazon? I never buy from the US, but use the German one for my English books, since the shipping costs are lower.

So yeah, if you click the ad or use the bookmarklet, it's all the same.

Eleonora, I'm not signed up with Amazon.dk, sadly. I just don't have enough readers in Germany/Europe who'd use it to have a membership there. I do have membership in Amazon.ca and Amazon.co.uk if anyone's interested in buying through those; I'd have to set up my MeiLin identity there, but I'd take the time if I thought people would use it. I'd take the time for Amazon.dk if I thought people would use it, for that matter!

Now, what to buy! I envision dozens of vampire romance...

Does BPAL do gift cards?

I rather think not. Wish they did--then I'd know what to put on my birthday list!

... Dutch, IIRC. In any case, the German site is Amazon.de.

As far as Amazon.co.uk is concerned, with the pound so pleasantly weak I've lately gotten into the habit of ordering my computer games from there in order to circumvent the censorship that's plaguing the German video game market. I also buy stuff from Amazon.de a couple of times per year, FWIW.

But I buy from the German one, there is no Dutch one, I could buy from the English one, but there you pay shipping costs per book too. The German one is just 6 euro's, not matter how many books you buy, it's ideal.

I knew that. At least I knew the .de part. Didn't know .dk was Dutch. Sorry! Anyway, if I get 5 Europeans to say they'd buy books from Amazon.de, I'll get the account there.

... Samaris, seia, Lost Child, Marx, and maybe Katie? (Have I missed anyone?) Speak up, folks, we only need three more!

I dragged it to my toolbar (I'm in Safari, on a mac) - and nothing happens when I click on it, not when it's in my toolbar, and not on your site. And I don't see an Amazon ad anymore. I need to buy a pair of sneakers and I want you to get the credit!

Direct link I can use, maybe?

is here; you can bookmark that. You can always find it on the "donate" page. Smile

I had no idea Amazon has become the internet Super Walmart! Flower bulbs? Sneakers? Man, guess I gotta get with the times!

For some time now. I do a LOT of my regular shopping at Amazon; I do the Prime thing so I get free 2-day shipping (it WAY pays for itself), so I have no qualms about buying a case of gluten-free baking mix, for instance. On the baking mix alone I save $4 a bag, and it's 3 bags to the case. I rarely run out that way, and I save $12!
