Coming out of my shell
What can you say about a self-proclaimed genius, jack of all trades, master of none, and King of his own world?
So I won't.
Ok, maybe a little.
I hail from a (relatively) large city in northern Alabama, where I live with my wife and four pleasantly temperamental (emphasis on mental) cats, Buster, Annabelle, Abby, and Raven. I sell appliances by day and by night, pretty much the same. But late at night (usually after Colbert), I live a secret life of mystery and intrigue, causing mischief in the lands of Azeroth and Outland. My dream in life is to be a career couch potato and to beta test video games for fun and profit. If that fails, I have plans to start my own comic book company and publish my own work for fun and profit. If that fails. . . well, I guess I'll be one of the faceless drones in corporate America until I'm too old for my company to bleed anything else useful out of me. Nice outlook on life, isn't it?
In my spare time I'm a closet conspiracy theorist, a raging pessimist (I prefer realist), an unbridled intellect, an unstrung hero, a rapier wit, and a flaming (ok, maybe not that far) procrastinator.
Then there's my artistic abilities. Whether it be drawing or writing, most times I get my hands on a pencil or keyboard, something meaningful is left on the page. The problem lies in getting my hands on something.
Interests and hobbies include but are not limited to:
Reading, writing, drawing. All things art.
Comics. Published: Sonic the Hedgehog, Transformers in all forms, Marvel and IDW both
Online: Bob and George; Girl Genius; No Rest for the Wicked; Girly and Cute Wendy; Better Days; LFG Comic; Questionable Content; and the King of them all, Sluggy Freelance, napstitches! There are others, but I'm too lazy to list them all
Role-playing and online RPGs. World of Warcrack addict if I ever knew one, though I am recovering slowly. (I wonder if there is a connection between my abandonment of WoW and becoming active in the fora. Who knows?) Magic: the Gathering when I can.
Music. Adult contemporary, Top 40, Big Band, Comedy, Contemporary Christian, Christian Rock, Country, Classic rock, Modern Rock, Heavy Metal, Retro, Disco, some Rap, Easy Listening, New Age and Instrumental, Broadway, Celtic and Irish traditional. . .Have I missed any?
Collectibles. Hot Wheels, Lego Bionicle, anything else that catches my eye.
As an aside, I got here through a link on one of the webcomics I frequent. Might have been Misfile or Questionable Content, I'm not sure. Because of AIHO--uh, MLM, rather--I also found ToMU, MToMU, Void Dogs, and S.R. Suleski's site. For that, I am much appreciative.
Ok, time to deflate my ego. Catch you on the flipside.
